‘Princess Catherine’ doll for Duchess of Cambridge

ROYAL fans Dayna Miller and her mother Sharon, hold a “Princess Catherine” doll, dressed in a copy of her blue Issa engagement dress, which they presented to Catherine, Countess of Strathearn, during her visit to Dumfries House, Ayrshire, yesterday.

Dayna, 11, from Coylton, South Ayrshire, said: “She looked at it and she said: ‘Does my hair look like that?’ Then she asked me where I got it from.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had braved the bitter cold to attend the opening of the Tamar Manoukin outdoor centre.

Hundreds of locals and 600 members of youth groups including the Girl Guides and Scouts turned out for the official opening. They were joined by the Prince of Wales at Dumfries House where Charles has led a regeneration project since 2007.

Later Prince William was presented with a babygro when he met the crew and their families during a visit to the Astute-class Submarine Building at BAE Systems on in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.

The Duke of Cambridge is Commodore-in-Chief of the Royal Navy Submarine Service and during their visit the royal couple toured the offices of Vanguard replacement programme and met with the crew of Artful and their families.
