Post office owner found dead was robbery victim

North Yorkshire: A 40-year-old post office owner who was found dead in her quiet village store was the victim of a robbery, police said.

Officers were called to the village store and post office at Melsonby yesterday where the body of Diane Garbutt was found by paramedics.

A police spokeswoman said it was being treated as murder.
