Policeman slammed for ince cream van music stunt

Belfast: A policeman who played ice cream music over a tannoy to calm unruly youths acted inappropriately, his commanders said.

The officer broadcast the ditty from his police vehicle to around 15 teenagers who were throwing bottles at it. The youngsters stopped acting aggressively, but top brass did not see the funny side.

Durham: Peter Okeno Ong'are, from Durham University, has composed a "rhythm for success" to inspire footballers to score more goals at the World Cup.

The track, entitled Vuma! Unity, Harmony, Goal!, is based on a South African rhythm.
