Police officers plead guilty over gun sales

TWO police officers accused of selling guns which had been handed in for safe disposal by members of the public admitted misconduct yesterday.

Durham Police officers Maurice Allen, 47, and Damien Cobain, 42, each pleaded guilty to the charge during a brief hearing at Newcastle Crown Court. Judge David Hodson adjourned the case until February.
