Pathways to Work offers 'poor value for money'

A FLAGSHIP Government programme costing more than half a billion pounds has made only a "limited" impact in helping disabled people into work, according to a highly critical report published today.

Spending watchdog the National Audit Office branded the Pathways to Work scheme "poor value for money", and said that private companies and charities who were paid to help get people off incapacity benefits had "universally under-performed".
