Paolo Nutini scoops a Novello

HE USED to make pocket money busking in Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street but Scottish star Paolo Nutini yesterday scooped one of the biggest accolades in music.

He won a coveted Ivor Novello award for his album Sunny Side Up, one of the best-selling records of the last year. He joined stars Lily Allen, former Jam frontman Paul Weller and Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr in being named among the winners.
