Pair held after girl stabbed

Surrey: A man and a woman were being held on suspicion of attempted murder today after a six-year-old girl was stabbed in the chest.

The girl was left seriously injured after the incident at an address in Guildford and was in a stable condition in hospital, Surrey Police said.
