Painting of Carol Ann Duffy goes under hammer

A PAINTING of Glasgow-born poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy is expected to fetch up to £4,000 when it goes under the hammer at a sale of poets’ pictures next week.

The work, by leading portrait painter Peter Edwards, will be sold as part of the Roy Davids Collection Part III at Bonhams in London.
