Over 100 see in New Year with online tax return

MORE than 100 people saw in New Year’s Day by filling out a tax return at their computer, figures from HM Revenue and Customs have shown.

As clocks chimed and champagne corks popped, 102 people submitted their self-assessment forms in the final hour of 2011.
