Online and hi–tech pranks much ‘liked’

Changing someone’s status on Facebook and sending a fake text from a friend’s mobile have taken over from the whoopee cushion as favourite practical jokes, a survey has found.

Half of the practical jokes by 18 to 24-year-olds ended up online, and 40 per cent of people said they were likely to “prank” with technology, the OnePoll survey showed.
