One in three not happy with their lot in life

HALF of workers feel unfulfilled in their jobs and frustrated at how much money they earn, according to research.

One in five is "annoyed" by a lack of career progression, a survey of more than 2,000 adults by health firm Bupa showed.

More than a third of those questioned said they regularly stay awake at night because of worries, with one in five having less than six hours' sleep.

Just over one in three people are not content with their life in general, worrying about money, being overweight or relationship problems.

Bupa's assistant medical director, Dr Peter Mace, said: "Our survey tested six wellbeing indicators – diet, exercise, happiness, stable relationships, job and sleep.

"While there is no magic cure-all, exercise is potentially the most powerful wellbeing tool we have. Getting enough exercise helps against feeling down, boosts energy levels and can also help you sleep better."
