Olympic gold brings cash-value study

SPORT Secretary Ben Bradshaw yesterday defended Britain's performance in the Winter Olympics.

Despite Britain winning just one medal, a gold, Mr Bradshaw hailed the outcome as the "best performance we've had for several years". But he agreed that sports bodies would review whether funding put into certain Winter Olympic sports had been "good value for money".
