Officer charged over data protection

A DETECTIVE sergeant has been charged with data information offences.

Cumbria Police employee Jason Robinson, 41, from Workington, is accused of conspiracy to obtain or disclose personal data or information.

A spokeswoman for Cumbria Police said since his arrest on 31 August, Robinson has been suspended from duty.
