Northern Ireland Executive threatened by rule breach

THE future of Northern Ireland's Executive came under scrutiny today after Sinn Fein tabled an urgent question about the Robinson controversy.

Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness can walk away from his partnership with First Minister Peter Robinson or refuse to be renominated if the East Belfast MP is toppled.

Mr McGuinness has sought answers on whether Assembly rules were breached after Mr Robinson failed to report his wife Iris to the authorities.
