New Sex and the City film is box-office hit

SEX and The City 2, starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, triumphed at the box office in the UK and Ireland, raking in £6.13 million on its first weekend – making it the third biggest opening of 2010, behind Iron Man 2 and Alice in Wonderland.

The sequel to the 2008 box office hit was again directed by Michael Patrick King.
