Most police complaints 'by Protestants'

Northern Ireland: Almost half of all complaints lodged with the Police Ombudsman since it began work five years ago have come from the Protestant community, figures revealed today.

The research shows 49 per cent of complainants came from a Protestant background, 38 per cent were Catholics and the remainder either came from another religious background or had none.

Wales: 115 jobs are set to go after Dairygold confirmed that its cheese packing plant in Lampeter will close in April.
