More than 1 in 4 girls 'suffer cyber-bullying'

MORE than a quarter of girls aged between ten and 18 have been the victims of cyber-bullying, a survey revealed today.

A poll of more than 1,000 girl guides showed 28 per cent said they had been bullied on the internet or by e-mail.

Girlguiding UK has issued new advice to members on dealing with the problem.

Chief executive Denise King said: "It is our responsibility to give girls the knowledge and self-confidence to deal with issues worrying them."
