More students start job search in final year

ONE in five students begins their career hunt during the final year of their degree compared with just 5 per cent a decade ago, according to a new survey.

The study by careers site graduate-jobs.com found 22 per cent of UK students will look for a career while studying for their finals.

However, the picture varied across the UK, with just 13 per cent of students in Scotland starting the search before graduation.
