Men ‘filmed themselves abusing drunk schoolgirl’

The girl was taken to three different houses in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, where she was raped and sexually assaulted by six men during the course of one evening in May 2010, Leeds Crown Court heard.

Video clips showing the naked teenager being indecently touched by some of the men were shown to the jury during the opening of the trial.

Mohammed Ali Rehman, 26, Saqib Hussain, 31, Faisar Younas, 23, Hasan Rehman, 18, Wahid Hussain, 19, and Larasab Hussain, 45, are charged with a number of sexual offences.

Sharon Beattie, prosecuting, told the court the video recovered on one of the men’s mobile phones showed “part of a series of sexual assaults”.

“She is seen to be distressed and naked while being abused both physically and verbally by Ali Rehman and others,” Miss Beattie said.

“You may think the video presents a compelling picture of the events that evening.”

Ms Beattie added: “She was being treated as little more than an object, something to use and abuse. There was no question of her giving any true consent to the activities that took place between her and these men that evening.”
