Maternity leave ‘cut short by cash fears’

Nearly half of working mothers-to-be plan to cut short their maternity leave due to financial worries, according to a survey.

Some 45 per cent told the MoneySupermarket poll they could not afford to take a full year out of their job. A third of the 315 women surveyed said they would spend between six and eight months at home.
