Man held over weapons attack

A MAN has been arrested in 
connection with two gun and grenade attacks which left a man dead.

David Short, 46, suffered multiple bullet and blast injuries in the first attack in Clayton, Manchester, on Friday morning.

It took place just weeks after his son Mark, 23, was shot dead as a gunman opened fire in a pub in the city.

Greater Manchester Police said a 37-year-old man was 
arrested on Saturday night on suspicion of murder.

The force was continuing to search for 29-year-old Dale Cregan last night for questioning over the two incidents. Cregan is also wanted in connection with the murder of Mark Short.
