MacLaine gives Grande Dame a lift

SHIRLEY MacLaine said yesterday she had swept Dame Maggie Smith off her feet when she joined her on the set of the ITV drama Downton Abbey.

The 78-year-old Oscar-winner, who is joining the cast, admitted she loved working with the veteran British actress so much she could not keep her hands to herself, lifting her clean into the air.
