Lorry driver arrested as 12 injured in pile-up on M6

TWELVE people were taken to hospital and a lorry driver was arrested after an Easter getaway pile-up on one of Britain's busiest motorways.

Two of the casualties from the seven-vehicle crash on the M6 last night were in a serious condition, according to West Midlands Ambulance Service.

A six-year-old girl received severe head injuries and was airlifted to University Hospital in Coventry, while her aunt, aged in her 60s, suffered potentially serious chest injuries.
