Lorries and buses face speed cuts

LORRIES and minibuses face having lower motorway speed limits imposed on them under plans being consulted on by the government, it was announced yesterday.

Under the plans, the maximum speed limit for heavy goods vehicles under 7.5 tonnes would be reduced from 70mph to 60mph. Minibuses would have their speed limit reduced from 70mph to 65mph.
