London 2012 Olympics: ‘Isles of Wonder’ album hits No 1

An ALBUM containing music from the London 2012 opening ceremony has sold more than 10,000 copies within 24 hours of going on sale.

The compilation, Isles of Wonder, is No 1 in the iTunes Store album chart in the UK, France, Belgium and Spain, and No 5 in the United States.

The release, which was also No 2 on Amazon’s best-selling downloads list, includes music which featured in Friday night’s show at the Olympic Stadium, with tracks by Dizzee Rascal, Emeli Sande, Underworld, David Bowie and the Chemical Brothers.
