Police were called to the Conservative politician's London flat yesterday morning after thieves broke in and stole his laptop then made off with his car.
Dr Fox described the burglary as "opportunistic". "It's not very nice to have someone in your house," he said. "It's even less nice when they have taken knives out of the kitchen drawer and leave them placed so that they can threaten you on their getaway.
