Just wanted to touch base . . jargon's getting worse

OFFICE workers were urged today to stop using jargon after a list of the most ridiculous business phrases was compiled, ranging from "biting the reality sandwich" to "touching base offline".

Recruitment firm Office Angels said jargon was getting more bizarre every year.

Workers felt "stressurised" (a mixture of pressure and stress) and often wanted to "flag" problems. Others included "A lighthouse on a cloudy night" (coming up with a bright idea).
