Judge backs Johnson’s ban on ‘Not Gay!’ bus ad

London mayor Boris Johnson’s ban on a Christian group’s controversial bus advert about gay people was not unlawful, the High Court has ruled.

The posters read: “Not Gay! Ex-Gay, Post-Gay and Proud. Get over it!” A judge said allowing it would “cause grave offence” to gay people. She said it was perceived as homophobic, “thus increasing the risk of prejudice and homophobic attacks”.
