Hunt for dead woman's sister following stabbing

POLICE were today hunting the sister of a woman found stabbed to death in a field.

The body of Karen Barton, 51, was discovered by dog walkers in Chartham, near Canterbury, Kent, shortly after midnight on Sunday.

Detective Chief Inspector David Withers said officers wanted to speak to her sister Phoebe Barton, 49, who shared a house with the dead woman and has not been seen since 7pm on Saturday. He also said a knife had been found.
