Home of SDLP politician attacked

THE home of a Northern Ireland Assembly member has been attacked just days after she received death threats.

SDLP member Dolores Kelly was alone in her house in Craigavon, Co Armagh, on Friday night when she heard two bangs at the door. Police were investigating the disturbance and are investigating a link with death threats the nationalist politician received last week, thought to come from dissident Republicans.

Neighbours said they thought the noise they heard was possibly two gun shots or rockets. Kelly said she had no doubt the incident was "another form of callous intimidation".
