Hoax call sparks plane security fears

PASSENGERS on a British-bound plane were involved in a security alert yesterday, with the crew having to take the aircraft back to their departure airport 15 minutes into the flight.

The Wizz Air plane, travelling to Luton Airport with about 165 passengers on board, touched down safely in Romania.

It is thought Timisoara airport received an anonymous hoax call shortly after the plane took off.
