Heathrow tops list for airport shopping

Heathrow is the airport shopping capital of the world, according to latest figures.

The west London airport recorded gross retail sales of more than £1.7 billion in 2011 – up from a total of £1.5bn in 2010. Net retail income per passenger increased 5.3 per cent to £4.35.
