Grand National 2015: Kelpies model at Aintree

A SCALE model of the Kelpies sculpture has been installed at Aintree racecourse ahead of this weekend’s Grand National.

The model was displayed on the opening day of the Grand National festival at the Liverpool venue.

Tony ‘AP’ McCoy won the Aintree Hurdle earlier on Thursday, romping home on Jezki just 48 hours ahead of his retirement.

Ruby Walsh on Arctic Fire fell at the final fence to allow McCoy to finish 13 lengths ahead of Rock on Ruby.
