Thousands of music fans were left disappointed after the £228 tickets were snapped up in just 32 minutes.

Emily Eavis, daughter of Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis and co-organiser of the festival, tweeted: “Tickets have now sold out. Thank you to everyone for your incredible support and sorry to those who missed out. Bring on Glastonbury 2016!”

Coldplay and Adele are among the favourites to headline in 2016, while Muse have said they would like to play. AC/DC and Fleetwood Mac are also expected to play the annual music festival.
