Glastonbury rapper cancels appearance on Twitter

RAPPER Wiley cancelled his Glastonbury performance taking to Twitter to complain about the event and asking to be taken off the bill.

He is said to have taken issue with both the weather and the amount he was being paid for playing at the festival.

The DJ, one of 2,000 performers, had been due to play a set on Saturday.

He tweeted: “Glastonbury ain’t paying me enough to leave my comfort zone.”

Wiley then tweeted the Glastonbury Twitter account: “Please cancel me I do not want to play for you ever again... please cancel me without sueing I would like that.

“I’m fed up of coming to your festival I wanna do my own one.”

He the confirmed his non-attendance: “Ya know what .. en route to heathrow realtalk” and “Lol, don’t have to play there.”

It is understood Wiley never actually made it to the site and had been in London all along.

The rapper had his first UK number one single in August 2012 when Heatwave topped the chart.

Glastonbury Festival opened on Friday with a star-studded line-up, with Arctic Monkeys, Dizzee Rascal and disco legends Chic & Nile Rodgers among those headlining.
