Gervais' new show gets second series

COMEDIAN Ricky Gervais' animated TV show, which debuted in the US only last month, has already been given a second series by broadcaster HBO.

The Office and Extras star's show – created along with writing partner Stephen Merchant and their friend Karl Pilkington – is based on comedy podcasts and will hit the UK on Channel 4 next month.
