George Galloway tweet ‘broke election law’

The Respect party leader is said to have tweeted about exit polls before voting had officially ended at 10pm.

It is against the law to discuss voting while polls are open.

George Galloway has been the Respect party MP for Bradford West since 2012.

The returning officer from Bradford council made the report to police, according to reports.

The hard fought campaign in Bradford West has been beset by controversy, Galloway supporters were accused of beating up a Jewish journalist trying to report on a Respect party rally.
