General election pollwatch: 14 days to go

With just two weeks to go until the General Election, a difference of just 0.1 percentage points separates the two parties. The Tories are on 33.7per centand Labour is on 33.6%.

Ukip are in third place on 13.5%, the Liberal Democrats are fourth on 8.3per centand the Greens are fifth on 4.9%.

The poll of polls is calculated using a rolling average of every nationwide poll published in the last seven days.

Its figures continue to suggest that the country is heading for another hung parliament, with no party likely to win the 326 seats needed to form a majority in the House of Commons.

This is backed up by the latest projections of the election result.

An average of the current forecasts by the Guardian, Ladbrokes, the New Statesman and ElectionForecast.co.uk gives the Conservatives a five-seat lead over Labour, with the Tories winning 276 MPs and Labour 271.

Just one new poll was published in the past 24 hours.

A survey by YouGov put Labour on 34per cent(nc), the Tories on 33per cent(-2), Ukip on 14per cent(+1), the Lib Dems on 7per cent(nc) and the Greens on 5per cent(nc).
