Four charged over guinea pig hate campaign

FOUR people have been charged with conspiring to blackmail the family of a pensioner whose grave was desecrated.

The body of Gladys Hammond, 82, was stolen from a Staffordshire churchyard last year.

She was related to the owners of a guinea pig farm which had been targeted by animal rights campaigners.

Three men were due in court today, while a woman has been bailed to appear on October 11.
