Flybe flight to Aberdeen makes emergency landing

A Flybe flight from Birmingham to Aberdeen was forced to make an emergency landing this morning after a passenger on board fell ill, the airline said.

The plane landed in Newcastle, where the patient received medical assistance.

It was due to continue its journey at 9am.

The emergency was declared after flight BE321 took off from Birmingham at 6.52am.

It had been due to land in Aberdeen at 8.20am.
