Fishing crew unhurt by lightning strike

The crew on board a fishing vessel were “extremely lucky” to escape injury after their boat was struck by lightning, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) said.

The strike shattered glass and destroyed electrical equipment as they fished a few miles off Ramsgate, in Kent.
