Film crew rolls into Grangemouth

ACTORS, film crews and zombie extras descended on the central Scotland town of Grangemouth last night to continue production of Brad Pitt’s Hollywood blockbuster World War Z.

The action moved from Glasgow to the town’s heavy industrial centre, where producers are expected to use its refinery-dominated skyline as a backdrop to the action.

The production began with road closures at 8pm last night, which will run throughout today and last until 7am tomorrow. The A905 Wholeflats Road, which backs on to the town’s major refineries and connects Grangemouth to Bo’ness, is among those closing.

Central Scotland Police said they expect crowds to gather near the set today.

Inspector Ian Scott said: “We recognise that there may be significant local interest in this filming taking place and would urge members of the public to take extra care on the roads and for drivers to be aware there may be pedestrians in the area.”
