Employers feel effects of workers' ill health

THE cost of employees struggling into work when ill could match the £13 billion bill for sickness absence.

The Work Foundation said sickness "presence" could even be costing more because of hidden costs and under-estimating employee ill health.

A study of 510 employees showed almost half had worked when unwell.
