EBay bans 'racist' Dad's Army

ONLINE trading firm EBay has banned the sale of a rare Dad's Army board game, claiming it is racist.

David Davidson, 62, came across the game while clearing out his loft and posted it on the website on 16 January with a starting price of 99p. But he was stunned to receive an e-mail from EBay saying it was removing the game as it might "promote violence, hatred, racial or religious intolerance'.

Mr Davidson said: "Dad's Army is the most harmless TV programme in the world."
