Dr Who is voted No1 … again
Tennant, 37, from Bathgate, was awarded the title for the second consecutive year at the awards in London staged by two TV magazines.
Doctor Who also picked up the award for best-loved drama.
Tennant's co-star, Catherine Tate, 40, who played companion Donna Noble in the latest series, was named best actress.

Hide AdThe Scottish actor took up the role as the tenth Doctor in 2005 when Christopher Eccleston quit after just one series.
However, in the past year he has taken roles away from the show, starring in Recovery, a BBC drama about a man rebuilding his life after sustaining a brain injury; the comedy drama Learners; and most recently in the title role of Hamlet alongside Star Trek and X-Men star Patrick Stewart, for the Royal Shakespeare Company.
The awards were voted for by readers of TVQuick and TVChoice magazines.
