Double death a ‘domestic incident’

The deaths of a couple whose bodies were discovered at their home are being treated as an isolated domestic incident.

Detectives from Staffordshire Police are still trying to piece together the precise circumstances surrounding the deaths of Mark Chandler, 42, and 46-year-old Karen Climpson.

The couple, described by neighbours as quiet and unassuming, were found dead at their semi-detached house in Cheadle, Staffordshire, at about 12:50pm on Monday after a relative raised the alarm.

“It is anticipated that a police presence will be at the property over the next couple of days.”
