Decision due for BNP after scrapping whites-only rule

THE British National Party (BNP) will find out today if the decision to scrap its whites-only membership policy was enough to meet race relations laws.

Last month the far-right party voted to approve changes to its constitution to allow black and Asian people to become members.

The vote followed a court injunction threat over its whites-only membership by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

The BNP denied the allegations and said it had a "waiting list" of black and Asian people.
