David Bowie face-to-face with past self in video

DAVID Bowie comes face-to-face with his younger self in a new video for his latest single.

The promo for the track The Stars (Are Out Tonight), features Norwegian model Iselin Steiro who is seen dressed as Bowie in the late Seventies look he adopted for his Low album sleeve.

The film – directed by Floria Sigismondi, who made Bowie’s Little Wonder video in 1997 – also features Scottish-based ­actress Tilda Swinton, who plays the singer’s wife.

It is the second single to be taken from The Next Day, which is to be released next month and will be Bowie’s first album of new material for a decade.

The singer surprised fans by suddenly announcing his comeback last month after years of withdrawing from the spotlight, with the release of a song, Where Are We Now?, on his 66th birthday.

In the new video, Bowie and Swinton are seen portraying a comfortable, staid couple whose lives are transformed by a pair of androgynous figures, played by models Andrej Pejic and Saskia De Brauw.
