Court releases man sentenced to life

A YOUNG man, who has spent more than seven years behind bars for a murder he has always insisted he did not commit, was freed on bail by the Court of Appeal yesterday.

Sam Hallam, who was 18 when sentenced to life for killing a trainee chef, was released from the cells at the Royal Courts of Justice in London.
