Christmas sees a £4bn run on cash

MORE money has been withdrawn from cash machines this month than in the same period last year, new figures have revealed.

UK cash machine network, Link, said nearly £4 billion had been withdrawn in 11 days of December, a rise of 6.6 per cent.
